According to MLS Listings, the marketplace for San Jose residential properties, here’s what happened in October 2023 versus September 2023:
The Number of SOLD listings decreased by 2% to 437 properties, with a top sale of $5,800,000 million at 5593 Snowdon Place.
The Average Sales Price decreased by 2% to $1,459,455 million, moving the Average Price Per Square Foot down to $868 per square foot.
As measured in months supply, the inventory of properties available for sale increased by 17% to 1.40 months’ worth of properties for sale.
The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate increased to 8.01%, according to Bank Rate.com.
