The New Museum Los Gatos was formerly known as the Museums of Los Gatos, founded in 1965. The institution has undergone significant transformations, including a name change and a relocation. The earlier iteration was divided into two entities: an art museum and a history museum. In 2015, these two were merged to form what we now know as NUMU, located in the Civic Center Plaza in downtown Los Gatos.
